The Old Republic, led by a Supreme Chancellor, had a democratic government that was able to sustain itself for over twenty-five thousand years. For most of its duration as the dominant galactic power, the Old Republic did not style itself as a strong centralized government, but rather as a union or alliance of planets for the purposes of promoting trade, mediating disputes, and mutual protection. It is said that its complete history would "fill a thousand libraries".

The Endeavour was to develop a more cost-effective government. As the Empire swept across the galaxy and order brought to many uncivilized worlds, new trade routes began to open up, with supplies and trade goods bought and sold, and governments requiring smaller and cheaper capital ships to defend themselves. The first owner, Isoldor Storm, ceased upon the opportunity to create a select few ships that would change the face of the galaxy forever.

However now the Senators of the Old Republic, survivors from the dissolution of the Senate by the Empire, have made their presence known to the galaxy, prepared to stand as the bulwark of freedom against the tyranny of any that choose to assault freedom and justice. The Old Republic has risen again.

Founded during Year 11 Day 150 from the shell of the powerful ship faction Telegron Rothani Shipworks (TRS) it was destined to be great from the start. Forged in fire and steel, the Old Republic has been tested in this long expanse by the Sith, Dark Jedi, Seperatists, and many others.

Centered upon Coruscant for thousands of years, loyalists to the Senate were forced to flee their ancestral home for the Yavin System, seeking a safe haven. Several years after their establishment within the Yavin System they branched out, discovering other loyalists that had formed a Rebel Alliance. However time proved that this group was corrupted from within, and as such kept their identity secret and chose Telegron Rothani Shipworks Ship company as their front.

Telegron Rothani Shipworks was one of the most successful starship design firms in the Old Republic and had the distinction of being wholly owned by the Nautolan Government. Just before the rise of the Empire, the company fell on hard times and many of the less profitable divisions, including but not limited to the direct military applications were dismantled, allowing for the more profitable manufacturing of a select few lines, such as the huge MTC and the fast ATR.

During the same Year the Old Republic was founded, eXiles Corporation and it's huge and loyal memberbase decided to make the Old Republic more powerful and joined forces. Joining the Old Republic was Koensayr and Maelstrom Industrial Salvage as Naturalized Factions. During Year 11 Day 250 Supreme Chancellor Seth Shepard decided to retire and leave the reigns of the Old Republic in capable hands with now Supreme Chancellor Korinas Vildras.

Leadership of 3 or higher: Construction Engineers are tasked with developing the planets of The Old Republic and it's subsidiaries.

Logistics Pilot

Freighter or Capital piloting of 3 or higher : Logistics Pilots transfer ships or raw materials around the galaxy.

Manager

Trading of 4 or higher: Manage a variety of facilities around the galaxy.

Weapons Engineer

Leadership of 3 or higher: Weapons experts produce the finest weapons for The Old Republic and it's subsidiaries.

Navy and Army Corps

Good Starfighter-Freighter Piloting and Cap Piloting skills and space combat skills along with various other skills. Navy and Army patrol and respond and engage to threats to The Old Republic and it's subsidiaries.

Steps For Applying:

1) Create a SWC account (if you have already skip to step 2)
Go Here to create an account

2) Contact Helen Hawk if you desire to have employment in any of our factions. Only continue to step three once you have confirmation from her

3) Register in our site USING YOUR FULL HANDLE, spaces are accepted (Failure to do so, will result in the deletion of your account)

4) Find the appropriate forum and fill an application (start a new topic)

5) Send an application to join, go HERE, click on 'Join Faction', select Old Republic and submit

6) Wait until an authorized member accepts your request, once accepted you will become a official part of the Old Republic!

7) Request access to the rest of the forums making a new topic in the access requests forum
